During the 2025, Oxford, Games we saw 56 teams, 200 + volunteers, 24 sports, and over 2500 registrations, making it the biggest Games yet.
The Oxford Adult's Team grew to include over 100 transplanted athletes, with the hope to attract many more team members after the Game's success. With the support of the Oxford Kidney Unity Trust Fund we saw the largest Donor Run take place, with over 2000 runners lining the pavements of Blenheim Palace.

This was a fantastic first Games for Nottingham and an excellent showcase of their many sporting facilities, outstanding Castle, Wollaton
Hall and leafy Nottinghamshire suburbs. Nottingham was a place that many of the Games participants looked to revisit as tourists!


2024 saw the British Transplant Games head to Nottingham for the first time in history, attracting 56 teams, over 200 hundred volunteers and a Games family exceeding 2,800 people.
Both the Nottingham Adults and Children’s team grew from a combined 53 competitors to 70 competitors total, and it is hoped more will join after a successful Games. The Games Donor run, supported by Nottingham Hospitals Charitable Trust and based in Wollaton Park, was a closed event available only to the Games family and was a sellout, amassing 1,900 runners.
The event generated approx. 8000 bed nights across Nottinghamshire hotels spread over a period of 4 or 5 nights bringing an economic impact to the Region of approximately £2.4million.

The 2025 Games were a remarkable first event for Oxford and a superb showcase of the city’s world class sporting venues, historic colleges, iconic architecture and stunning locations such as Blenheim Palace. Oxford proved to be a place many of the Games participants hoped to return to and explore further as visitors.
