TS Kids & Teens Kendal Weekend 2026

Kendal Organ Donor Town is looking forward to welcoming you all to Kendal for our activity weekend on Sat 25th and Sun 26th April.

Here is some more information for you about the weekend and details of the venues.

The Ski Day

will take place at Kendal Ski Club, Canal Head North, Kendal, Cumbria LA9 7BY from 10.30am on Sat 25th April. There is plenty of free parking available.

All participants will need to bring waterproof trousers, a long sleeved top and full finger gloves for safety whilst skiing on the dry slope. If you do not have ski gloves the best kind of gloves are gardening gloves with a non-slip palm as these can grip the ski tow much better. Woollen gloves are NOT suitable for this activity as they do not allow you to grip the tow cable. Please also be sure to wear long socks because the boots go half way up the shin.

The timetable for the day will be:

Arrival: 10.15 – 10.30

Skiing: 11.00 – 12.30

Lunch: 1 – 2pm

Tubing: 2 – 3.30pm

Lunch, consisting of sandwiches, crips and drinks, will be provided and we are able to cater for vegetarian diets but cannot provide for more complex dietary needs or guarantee that these are suitable for those with severe allergies as we are only purchasing ready made products. We would ask that parents provide their own food if these issues exist to ensure safety.

Sun 26th April – Kendal Wall, Lakeland Climbing Centres

The address for Kendal Climbing Wall is Unit 27, Lake District Business Park, Mint Bridge Rd, Kendal LA9 6NH. This also has plenty of free parking available.

The climbing activities will be led by qualified instructors and will start at 10.30am. We recommend arriving around 10.15 in order to register. The climbing will finish at around 12.30 and lunch (similar to Saturday) will be provided at the venue.

Please note that the minimum age at the Climbing Wall is 5 years old. The Climbing Wall costs are covered by Transplant Sport but please do advise the TS Office if you do not wish to attend the climbing as the cost is affected by the number taking part.

We look forward to welcoming you all to Kendal and hope that this will be a memorable weekend for you all! If you have any further questions please direct these to the TS Office.
